The nationwide lockdown to combat Coronavirus may have changed many things but it hasn’t stopped me from indulging in my favourite hobby: shopping online from the comfort of my bedroom. While my calendar isn’t dotted with plans that require elaborate outfits, what I do need is pieces that will come in handy now and later. Ahead, I tell you how this is done.
T-Shirt
For a weekend spent at home or for a day out, I often lean on a t-shirt. But it’s the bottom that makes all the difference.
Indoor: I usually opt to wear shorts or snug joggers with my tee.
Outdoor: A pleated skirt or skinny denim jeans would be my choice. Pair it with transparent heels or white sneakers.

Kurta
An ethnic favourite, a kurta is a staple in most closets. It can double up as a maxi or be dressed up for festive occasions.
Indoor: I forgo bottoms and wear my breezy kurta as a dress for the days spent inside.
Outdoor: I opt for leggings and a dupatta, and complete it with a pair of kolhapuris and earrings.

Dress
Depending on the occasion, I choose whether to accessorise my dress or follow the less is more motto.
Indoor: I prefer to go the bare minimum with my dress at home, often accessorising it with slender earrings or stackable cuffs.
Outdoor: Throwing on a layer over my dress is an easy fix to elevate the simple look. A formal blazer for a work meeting or a playful cover-up for a casual date would be my choice.
