Kriti Tula of Doodlage has always been the flagbearer of sustainability when it comes to contemporary fashion. Her pieces are never short of style even though they are crafted sustainably – always unique and comfortable. While Kriti has a knack for upcycling rejected fabrics, for upcoming Spring, she chose to work with the TENCEL™ fibre – one of the most sustainable materials there are – in subtle combinations of beige and ivory. Inspired by the evolution of the flower-girl, the silhouettes were adorably feminine, fresh, relaxed and some even gossamer finished with delicate floral embroideries.

Doodlage’s commitment to upcycling doesn’t just end at clothing – they showcased a range of hip backpacks and totes, all crafted out of rejected fabrics. The hair and makeup for the show just brought the vision together – bare dewy faces with dainty floral bunches tucked over neatly parted hair that was left loose. A radiant Evelyn Sharma closed the show in a beige and white flower-girl inspired pinafore dress complete with lacy socks and dainty danglers. To suffice, Doodlage made a comfort-lover’s dreams come true at Lakme Fashion Week’s Summer-Resort’ 19 edition.
