When it comes to nailing every #OOTN, Malaika Arora never fails to ace. Most recently she was spotted in a pure white blazer dress, fresh out of Nikhil Thampi’s Semi Colon’ collection that debuted at Lakme Fashion Week’s Summer-Resort ’19 season a few days back. “We do see that when it comes to summer clothing, designers tend to follow a textbook pattern and do a lot of Ready-To-Wear. They tend to forget the sex appeal and the oomph factor; that’s when we decided to come up with a collection that we call trans-seasonal, simply because it’s driven more towards evening dressing, keeping in mind summer aesthetics. Emulating Nikhil’s signature aesthetic, the piece was sharp, tailored and clean as crystal. Accents of the popular dot-and-comma punctuation moulded in metal and stitched on to the pocket of the dress added a chic edge to the outfit. “Keeping Malaika and her game changing fashion sense in mind, she made for an obvious choice to dress in this look. She is effortless, yet never fails to impress. While the dress featured a plunging neckline, it was the impeccably cut backless detail of the dress that stole the show – lending the right amount of spice to a dress that would otherwise be reserved for a rather formal occasion. Malaika opted for only a watch to accessorize, as the outfit was a statement in itself. For some finishing touches, voluminous beachy waves and a deep red pout sufficed her ultra-stylish evening look.
