Akkineni might be making sure that her acting prowess makes the headlines but by no means does it imply that her wardrobe takes a backseat. Always ahead of the fashion curve, the award winning South Indian actor is known for effortlessly blending heavyweight labels with high-street ones- yes,we’ve been keeping a close eye on her sartorial sensibilities! If we were to trace her style back for the past few months, we’ll have to admit that she has been spotted wearing a number of upcoming designer labels repeatedly. However, it’s this one designer that has caught our attention on more occasions than one and we’re quite impressed by how she’s styled what she’s picked from the collection. Most recently, she wore a tangerine midi dress from Notebook – a label renowned for its uniform inspired aesthetic – and clubbed it with a pair of ivory Manolo Blahnik stilettoes and coin sized hoops. We think, the dress not only strikes a brilliant balance between feminine finesse and a utilitarian appeal but also combats the dull weather with its electric colour palette, “Samantha looked super chic in our tangerine Darcy dress which is a cult favourite for its statement sleeves and the popping orange hue – the perfect antidote to the monsoon blues,” says Niharika Gupta of Notebook. A few months ago, Akkineni was also spotted wearing a black pinstriped jumpsuit from the label which she finished with a Gucci belt and matching strappy sandals – now you know why we think she’s obsessed with the label and just so you know, we’re not complaining!
