The light-eyed actor who recently received an award for environmental awareness fittingly wore a monochrome sari by the veteran sustainable designer duo, Abraham & Thakore, to the event. While this is not the first time that Kapoor has expressed her love for the six-yard staple, what took us by (pleasant) surprise was her choice of the colour palette and the designer. In the past she has opted for pop-hued iterations of the sari from labels like Raw Mango, Manish Malhotra, Satya Paul among others, however, we can safely say that the last time we saw her in an Abraham & Thakore sari was late last year from their Winter/Festive ‘18 collection– a gold and black one to be precise. The designer duo is renowned in the Indian fashion industry for their clever use of the monochrome hues along with employing traditional fabrics and crafts into their collection. What we loved about Kapoor’s look this time was that she wore their white sari featuring a black leaf printed pallu and a blouse to match with a tie-up detailing on the side – a typical Abraham & Thakore piece. She completed the look with oxidised silver jewellery and a loosely braided hair – we approve!
