Anupamaa Dayal is known for trademarking a free-spirited boho-vibe to her collections- vibrant and popping separates that each have a personality of their own. Her Spring-Summer ’19 collection was just that- a celebration of colours and prints stitched together with utmost brilliance and transformed into everyday wearable art.
Inspired by Japanese culture, the designer showcased a motley of prints and colours. Her collection celebrated the Japanese concept of broken beauty- which explains the use of starfish motifs in her designs as this marine creature regenerates its damaged limbs. Her collection also honours the female form- exuding a fearless and carefree attitude.
Heavily bronzed eyes and vibrant splashes on browbones with a nude lip painted a complete picture for the show. The hairdos were a work of art in themselves- with colourful ribbons left to dangle from a structured low-bun, her collection accommodated all the colours of the rainbow. To say the least, her collection left us longing for a holiday!
