Discovering her passion for fashion at a tender age, Ritika’s travel-inspired designs take the after-hours dressing an extra mile. For someone who considers Sonam Kapoor Ahuja as her party pinup for her experimental approach, her personal style is a welcome juxtaposition to that – it is classic, understated and relaxed “I am a fan of classic dressing and recommend having some timeless separates and accessories in the wardrobe which can be styled in different ways.”, suggests Bharwani.
Personally, when it comes to prepping for parties, she likes to add a touch of glam without compromising on the classic, “I like a lot of shine and lace. I’ve invested in plenty of party pieces with lace and a bit of sheer and sequin detailing which can also be found in my designs. Additionally, various iterations of the little black dress are a staple in my party wardrobe.”, opines Bharwani.
If you follow her journey closely enough, you would know that her pieces have made multiple statements on the red carpet with the biggies of Bollywood, but when asked about which star is now on her wish list, pat comes the reply! “Katrina Kaif, because I find her style very classic and feminine and it goes with the aesthetics of our label seamlessly. We’ve dressed up a lot of celebrities, but we’ve not got the chance to style her yet, so it would be exciting to collaborate with her.”
Speaking of celebrity collaborations, Bharwani reminisces her most memorable one on the big screen, “We made a white wedding gown for a music single – Sonam Kapoor Ahuja in Dheere Dheere Se. They gave us a very short deadline – typically that outfit would have taken a good six to seven days of workmanship, but we had to pull it off in three days and we did! We worked ceaselessly overnight but the outcome was just surreal.”
Over the years, her designs have evolved with each season – spanning fresher embroideries and textures along the use of unique and avant garde fabrics. Moving forward, she relays her plans in the pipeline, “We are working to launch a bigger bridal collection for the upcoming season and also offer a lot of more retail buying options to make our designs available to our clients.”, signs off Bharwani.

This dress needs minimal accessorizing, so she recommends pairing it with diamond studs and a delicate tennis bracelet with black strappy high heels. Complete the look with a pop of colour on the lips.
She recommends pairing this jumpsuit with statement earrings or hoops with simple shoes – either strappy or pumps work well with this look.
Black high waisted trousers work the best with this top. She recommends pairing it with a statement cuff and simple stud earrings with pumps to complete this look.
A black crop top or a tucked in off shoulder top work well with this skirt. Dramatic heels with
statement earrings or hoops and nude lips will compliment this look, recommends Ritika Bharwani.
