Abraham & Thakore

Drawing inspiration from the streets of Delhi, this designer duo’s #SadakSmart collection comprises of richly patterned floral fabrics inspired by some of the great Indian chintzes. While the colour palette ranges from soft khakis and creams to shades of coral and olive green, juxtaposed with black and white, the cotton and silk fabrics form the base. You can expect to find eclectic modern silhouettes reflecting everything Indian street.

AM:PM

Their autumn-winter collection is christened as Qalb (pronounced Khalab) meaning heart because it infuses just that in this assemblage – The use of quintessential crafts of the land such as Gond art and Bagh prints native to Madhya Pradesh. Gond comes from the Dravidian expression, Kond which means ‘the green mountain’. The traditional motifs seen in their tattoos and home walls are incorporated in this collection.

Label Ritu Kumar

Inspired by 18th century French marquise fashion contrasted with a deliberate déshabillé look of the 80s – Soft pastel colour tones and bold, tropical prints, this collection injects a fun colour palette in a mélange of sorbet colours, peach and prosecco, canary yellow, minty melons interspersed with bright pops of calico blues and reds. The collection mixes printed and embellished textiles ranging from novelty fruits to bold blooms.

Masaba

Masaba Gupta’s ‘There She Goes’ capsule collection is an ode to the new age bride. Serving a plethora of outfits that are elegant, yet comfortable, her designs are for the quintessential bride who’s got places to be & things to do. Think polka dots from the 80’s, lotus motifs and her signature gold foil prints on riches bases of chanderi and silks.

Umbar

Payal Pratap’s Umbar is a treat for your wardrobe – Her four new collections namely ‘A Kutch Safari’, ‘Alambra’, ‘Endless Hydrangea’ and ‘A Journey To Adriatic’ are all a rich amalgamation of embroideries native to the respective places as the names of the collections and lightweight materials that can easily be incorporated in your everyday wardrobe.
