Falguni and Shane Peacock are proclaimed luxury couture designers, known for their unique and unusual styling and attention to detail. The husband-wife duo belonged to different career lines but had a common vision, which pushed them to start their own fashion label.
The Falguni Shane Peacock label creates stunning prêt, breath-taking bridal collections, resort wear and luxurious evening wear. The brand carries a signature use of feathers, sequins and prints and is known for its juxtaposition between contrasting elements—fragility and strength, tradition and modernity, fluidity and severity. They also follow the philosophy of ‘Life is too short to blend in’, which they translate into every single creation by mixing fantasy with reality.
Their use of aesthetic colours, flawless detailing and creative designs has made the Falguni Shane Peacock label one of the most sought after in the world. Falguni and Shane Peacock started out on their international journey in 2007, with a show in Los Angeles. They held a show in London the following year and in 2011, they had a showing at the New York Fashion Week. Even though their collection shown at London gave them an edge, it was NYFW that brought them international fame.
The duo got their big break when, after a private showing in Los Angeles, singer Fergie approached them to design her outfit for the FIFA World Cup 2010. Following this, the Peacock’s went on to dress famous celebrities like Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga. The duo has dressed celebrities for occasions such as the Oscars, the Grammys, Cannes Film Festival and the Super Bowl.
Falguni and Shane Peacock have been awarded various accolades, including the Bharat Samman Award in 2014 and the World Designer Fashion Award at the 64th Miss World Beauty Pageant. The duo were also awarded the Pride of India 2013 by the NRI Institute, a non-profit organisation founded by non-resident Indians to provide a platform for the diaspora, at the UK’s House of Lords.
