Colours as we know it, can enhance your complexion or dampen it. But luckily for us Indians, most hues flatter our skin tones due to the neutral undertones, the only obstacle is, we don’t experiment as much! While we do love our reds, blues and sunshine hues, there are plenty other colours that we least expect will complement our skins. We thought, we’ll round up three of such hues that are often lacking from Indian wardrobes but deserves a special spot nonetheless! Scroll down to find out what those are and thank us later if they end up becoming your favourites! Lilac Due to its balance of undertones both warm and cold, this delicate hue looks good on everyone from deep to fair skin tones. This hue can also act as an instant mood-lifter, incase if you’re looking for a pick-me-up piece on those dull days. Try it on everything from boxy tops to traditional lehengas and more.
Mustard Because most Indian skin tones veer towards warm undertones, mustard makes for an excellent colour component of closets both contemporary and traditional. This colour also pairs equally well with gold and silver jewels that are frequently found in Indian jewel boxes.
Olive Call it army green, olive or mehendi green, this unique hue not only complements every Indian skin tone but partners up pretty well with pieces painted in neutral and monochrome hues too – making it the heroic hue in your everyday and work wardrobes.
